The full fledged department of cardiology at Mediciti Hospitals has an expert team of full time and visiting consultants , well complemented with the state of the art facilities. It is a one stop center for excellence with multi disciplinary interaction under one roof . The department is well known for providing quality hi tech care over a period of more than a decade .

Cardiology department has six full time consultants and three visiting consultants . Mediciti is recognized for DNB cardiology training . Every year we take two DNB residents for 3Yrs training. Mediciti cardiology is proud to announce that, till now 4 candidates have passed DNB cardiology examination. Mediciti has two cathlabs and we have done about 25,000 cath procedures since 1994. We have state of art Electrophysiology Lab and Radiofrequency ablation facilities for the evaluation and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

Noninvasive lab has two 2-D Echo machines with colour Doppler facility and facilities for 24hr Holter , TMT and upright tilt table test .

We have a 15 – bedded well-equipped ICCU for the treatment sick cardiac patients . There are 5 IABP machines to be used for patients who are hemodynamically unstable. Patients are monitored round the clock by trained cardiologist, anesthetist, pulmonologist, Internist, and CT surgeon.

We have expertise to do difficult cardiac interventional procedures like primary PTCA / Stenting , in patients with acute myocardial infarction , implantation of DDD pacemakers, heart Heart failure devices and AICDs, Carotid artery stenting , Device closure of PDAs and ASDs and Electrophysiology and Radiofrequency ablation.

At present , all the cardiac interventional procedures and CT surgeries are being done at CITI CENTRE, opposite secretariat , Hyderabad .
